Sketching Birds in the Field

Description: Join artist and nature journal educator Morgan Lewis for an introduction to sketching birds in your field journal. With a focus on shorebirds and seabirds, this two hour field trip will cover sketching basics for capturing bird likenesses and improving your memory, ID recall, and field notes. Make sure to bring your journal or sketchbook, a pencil, and something to sit on if you don't want to sit on the ground. No prior experience necessary. Meeting location: Meet in the parking lot of Carmel River State Beach. We will be on the sandy beach during the class.
