About the event
Description: Laguna Seca Golf Ranch has opened access for a breeding bird survey this Big Weekend!
We will be walking along the back nine, looking for grassland birds. Because we don't often have access to this property, we will discover together what birds may nesting here! We will be sharing how to create California Bird Atlas checklists on eBird.
Meet: 6:00 AM at the east end of Laguna Seca Golf Ranch. The address is 10520 York Rd, but we will meet at the east end of the parking lot here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/atCQEejFuLcgcKoW6.
Trip Difficulty: We’ll traverse paved and unpaved trails, some which have a >5% slope. The trip will be approximately 2.5 miles in length.
Facilities: There are bathrooms near the meeting spot at the flagpole.
Maximum guests: 15
What to bring: Sunscreen, hat, water, layers. Snacks and water are recommended if you get hungry fast! If you'd like to borrow binoculars, please indicate how many during the registration process.
