About the event
Merlin is a powerful app that can identify birds by sound. It is useful for learning to identify birds by their calls. We will practice using the app, as well as learning common bird calls of the Monterey Pine Forest.
We will meet on Via Del Pinar at the entrance to the park. We will slowly walk along the trail for about 0.5mi.
You may want to bring a chair. Binoculars are available to borrow.
Make sure to download Merlin before you arrive! The app is available on both iPhone and Android.
