Time & Location

Jul 19, 2025, 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM PDT

Location is TBD: Likely in Pacific Grove

About the event

July 19 - YBC will be held on the 3rd Saturday for all future events unless otherwise noted.

Be ready for the cuteness! We’ll see numerous shorebirds and other waterbirds as we explore along the rocky shorelines of Monterey/Pacific Grove. There are 19 areas we monitor BLOY (Black Oystercatcher) activity from Cannery Row through Asilomar! Join Amanda & Jeanette wherever the most action is taking place. Check back for more details

We will likely be walking about 0.5 miles, mostly along a compacted trail in the sun (unless it’s foggy!) Be prepared for variable weather.

Time and meeting: Meet at 1:00 - Location TBD but somewhere between Cannery Row and Asilomar depending on where the activity is. We will conclude by 2:30. More details the week of the program.

What to bring: Sunscreen, hat, water, layers. Snacks and water are recommended if you get hungry fast! If you'd like to borrow binoculars, please indicate how many during the registration process.

If you have to cancel after having signed up, please email Amanda at info@MontereyAudubon.org to let us know!
